Convenient hotel with pool near Oerlikon station

The Swissotel is very well location for exploring around Zurich even though it is not right in the city centre as it's just across the road from Oerlikon train station and tram stops. It is the tallest hotel in Zurich and has amazing views, especially from the rooftop swimming pool on the 32nd floor which I used in the evening the day I arrived and next morning. The room I had was a single room, but double bed and was rather small for what I paid for, but the bed was very comfortable. I was disappointed that there was just a shower and no bathtub and this is unusual for a four star hotel in Zurich. Besides the lack of bathroom space, the room was nice, well equipped and had a Nespresso coffee machine and teas and a very large TV screen. It was quiet, too, even though the hotel seemed busy, especially in the cocktail bar same evening. The spa area was really nice, but the changing room was really small and wouldn't be pleasant if it was busy with more than three people in there. I liked the steam room and sauna and relaxation area. There is a jacuzzi by the pool and gym and the beauty salon has various treatments available but it all looked very expensive. I didn't have any food in the hotel as my room rate wasn't including breakfast, but that didn't matter as there is a Starbucks joined onto the hotel and various places to eat and shops near the hotel. This hotel is walking distance from Hallenstadion arena, so it's ideal for anyone attending concerts at that venue.
