I have booked this stay with family and friends on my way to Isle of Skye and didn't arrive to Loch Lomond National Park until nearly midnight. We were told the road has some potholes and arrived in two fully loaded saloon cars as sadly had no other option. The road was truly bad but if we passed it then most of the cars will as well. We didn't get to see the landscape until we have awoken the next morning, although the abundance of stars and a hooting of a tawny owl at 1 am was mesmerising. In the morning the weather was pretty somber but it hasn't taken away the beauty of Loch Voil. I went for a walk alongside the loch but didn't meet anyone at all. I have booked this stay with family and friends on my way to Isle of Skye and didn't arrive to Loch Lomond National Park until nearly midnight. We were told the road has some potholes and arrived in two fully loaded saloon cars as sadly had no other option. The road was truly bad but if we passed it then most of the cars will as well. We didn't get to see the landscape until we have awoken the next morning, although the abundance of stars and a hooting of a tawny owl at 1 am was mesmerising. In the morning the weather was pretty somber but it hasn't taken away the beauty of Loch Voil. I went for a walk alongside the loch but didn't meet anyone at all. Dinner first night in the Estate room which was excellent in every way. A must. Quality food and service. Second day in the Wild Brownie. Again excellent service with good food. Breakfast was also good with endless choice and great service. If you asked the staff you could pretty much get what you wanted the way you wanted it. In fact the staff through out the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Also found one or two lesser known malts in the whisky bar which was a delight. Very knowledgeable young lady serving. Special mention for the lady doing the house keeping, bedroom clean/make up. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her. Very helpful, Unfortunately I did not get her name. Maybe next time."
