“It's a large and oddly configured building. It's an economic option if you'd like to visit the Island because everything else on San Juan is so expensive, expecially in summer months. You should understand that it's offering a basic Best Western level of property which is what it was. The staff was friendly but some of the operations and how the staff responded were a bit odd. It's a nice half mile walk into Friday Harbor downtown. If you were ambitious you could walk from the ferry to here if……

“Continental breakfast was very sad. Strange smell in the room. Front desk did not ever have a person there. Direct tv in the room did not work. All of this maybe deserves 3 stars, but having a Canadian flag torn in half next to a newer American flag felt disrespectful. Better to not have a flag up at all. Many hotels nearby had a good Canadian flag flying alongside the American one.”

“It was pretty quiet even though our room was right next to the elevator. The neighborhood feels safe, nice, and clean. It’s conveniently close to grocery stores and restaurants, and not too far from the state park. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast—two of the containers were empty with nothing much to eat, and no one came to refill them. So we went out for breakfast nearby. ”
