“No EV charging! This is a very new hotel and the EV chargers are not hooked up yet. The front desk is not staffed 24/7 which is a major problem if you lose your code card.”
“I was in the area of Albert, France to tour sites associated with the WWI battle of the Somme in 1916. I thought this place was just wonderful. The room I had was clean and comfortable with a very nice modern walk in shower. The hostess/owner, Muriel spoke English which I appreciated. She did a fabulous job on the breakfast each morning. It's just a couple of miles away from the town of Albert and she told me that there is a factory down at the end of the road that makes parts for Airbus planes……
“Having been told there was plenty of parking we arrived to find a car rally had taken virtually every space. When we enquired whether there would be spaces later on our return from going out for dinner we were told we could park on nearby streets, not very appealling with a fully packed car! In the end the rally had left by the time we got back, though why reception didn't say this heaven only knows! Otherwise a perectly functional hotel well postioned for visiting the local area.”
“The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and there was plenty of parking space with 2 electric charging points available.
There are regular buses into the town centre.
It is a great base for exploring the local area particularly the WW1 memorials.”
“First of all, the room didn’t resemble any of the pictures shown on the website. Our room reeked of old cigarr and we had to have our Windows opened at all times. The beds were not comfortable and really worn out, and the toilet and the shower resembled more those found aboard ships. The staff couldn’t speak one Word in english, but Google translate did the trick. The breakfast was really simple with limited options. We were not satisfied with the overall experience.”
