Owner did not respond immediately and I didn't know how to get into the apartment causing me to panic. Also, it is on the 4th floor but the lights do not turn on automatically in the hall and stairs. The first night I had to use my phone to see up the stairs. There is a light at the bottom but the first day I didn't see it. Other places the lights have motion censors in the stairways.

Hotel Republika was a terrific option for my family. It is rare in a city to have a boutique hotel experience, complete with parking, that remains a short walk to the main attractions of the area. The space was large and well designed, and even had two bathrooms for a two-bedroom unit. Perfect combination of quiet/peaceful space to use as a home base, but close enough to walk to the heart of the city.

"Customer service was exceptionally good. Room was spacious, quiet and clean with comfortable bed. Only reason to dock one star was the corridor leading to fitness facility at the hotel had strong smell of cigarettes. Hoping the hotel management does something about it for future guests."
