It was very special and made our whole trip extremely memorable. It’s been modernized but maintains the period look with modern appliances hidden from view with custom cabinetry. Wonderful lighting and a fireplace worthy of a grand palace. The enormous bathtub delivers hot water to the top unlike a lot of other grand tubs in Europe that looks the part but runs out of hot water after a few inches. We’d give this place 6 stars if I could. The owner is so personable and kind. We can’t thank Stefano enough for this rare step back into history. It was December, but there was no heating on in the lobby area or the dining area so everyone had to wear coats or thick jumpers while eating their meals. The showers were not particularly hot either. The room temperature could only go up to 19 Degrees so by the time I left it finally felt warm enough. Don't think I will stay here again... Not in the winter anyhow.."
