“Hostess, Carmen, is excellent. Breakfast was phenomenal. Rooms were big, especially the master BR (We had the 2 BR unit). You walk up 1 long flight of stairs, there is no elevator. The B&B is located at the edge of the historic town. Only a 10-min walk to the cathedral (which is a must-see). Parking nearby was a challenge, but you can park closer to the port & walk 10-ish minutes. DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS to this property if you have a car. It takes you down narrow, historical streets that……

“The girl on breakfast duty was very friendly & helpful, the reception staff while pleasant, did not go out of their way to make you feel welcome. All in all we had a very good experience and would return. ”

“Nothing more could be asked of our host Luciana and Nora, who received us on our initial arrival. The rooms and breakfast area are finished in an inspired manner and tasteful. The bed was comfortable and room spacious. As would be seen in other reviews, it is a historic palazzo, there are renovations on going in the building, but not once did this distracted from our visit. The hotel space is completely finished. “The location is within walking distance from the train and many of the sights of Salerno. It's on the main walking street of the town. And it is a few streets away from the waterfront walkway so it's walking distance to the ferry.There are many restaurants in the area. There is no lift to the third floor but the stairway wide and not steep. So the climb isn't too difficult. Davide is a frendly host. He was waiting for us when we arrived and was there for breakfast in the morning. He responded……

“I sincerely enjoyed my stay at Hotel Maddaloni. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and always accommodating. The room and surrounding grounds were immaculate. In fact, I took advantage of my room’s large balcony and inspiring views by sitting outside and writing. While being close to an expressway (perfect for those with a car), the hotel is especially quiet. There’s a market within walking distance and the train/bus station is just a 15-minute drive away.
