"Loved The Gracie Suite! We absolutely loved our stay at The Downtown Post in The Gracie Suite! From the moment we arrived, it felt comfortable, welcoming, and peaceful. The suite was beautifully done, very clean, and had so much charm and character. It was one of those places where you immediately feel at home. "The first unit I reserved had some issues - sliding door wouldn't open and logging into the TV, but the host moved us to another unit that was much better. We didn't know that places would be closed either due to it being off season or Easter weekend. We had to go into Banner Elk to eat and buy groceries. Just wanted to add that for people like us that don't travel to the mountains often. Overall we had a good trip, but I would stay in Banner Elk, Boone, or Blowing Rock next time."

"This house had everything a large family could want. A secluded (but not isolated), beautiful large yard both front and back. A river, bamboo forest, old growth trees and large covered porch with ample seating and table. I wish we had longer to stay to enjoy a nice campfire in their rustic fire pit. It looks like a great fishing spot as well though I didn't have time to try. Shopping wasn't to far away so a plus there as well. The house itself was large had a nice sized kitchen, family room...

"Always a great stay"

Comfort Suites Johnson City near University

10/10 Excellent

"Room was very clean and up-to-date. I really liked that there was no carpet in the room. You always wonder what’s on the carpet in a hotel room. The shower was excellent and the bed was pretty good too. Breakfast was very good. There was plenty of seating and many choices for a hot breakfast."

Echo Suites Extended Stay By Wyndham Johnson City Medical Cr

8/10 Good

"When I arrived the front desk person, Will, was kind, helpful, and prompt! He allowed me to choose the floor I wanted to be on which was nice since it was just my daughter and I and I wanted to not be ground floor. The only issue I had was that when I first got into the room it appeared the toilet had not been properly cleaned, there was remnants from another. However, as soon as I brought it to Wills attention he offered to change our room and take care of it. I decided to stay in the room, but they did come and fully clean the bathroom which was appreciated. One other thing was that the walls seem quite thin. I could hear our neighbors on all sides, up, down, and next door. Our upstairs neighbors stayer up late and we’re up early also so that was rough. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay. I felt safe and it was warm and relatively clean, after they recleaned the bathroom!"

Holiday Inn Johnson City by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"This was the second year in a row where I stayed for the National Storytelling Festival. I loved the convenience, the breakfast, and the bar. The lobby is huge and there were plenty of luggage carts and the room was clean to my standards. Friendly staff! Keep up the good work."
