When we checked in, room smelled moldy, musty and mildewy all wrapped in a not so pleasant scent. Had to go to the store to get febreeze air freshener to make the scent halfway tolerable. Had flushing problems with toilet, it ran water excessively and took long time for it to stop and thus be able to reflush. Lifted tank cover to check internal parts and the tank (all of the tank internally) was all black from the mildew and mold. Covered lid to seal the mold and mildew. If I was on the housekeeping crew of this 3 star hotel, the bad scent and the proper cleaning to resolve it would not be missed. Why did this hotel crew ignore this in the normal MAINTANENCE/Cleaning of the room? Rating of this hotel is 1 star minus at best. Never will stay there again! PS bathroom faucet leaked and radiated out from sink on the back of the countertop. Before we checked in, Kleenex box on countertop saturated in water and water had time to saturate all tissues and to discolor countertop below Kleenex box, we found this situation just after checking in to room.

While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). It was fun to try and figure out what these items were used for back in the day. They have WiFi, a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave so you're not back in the 1900's yourself. It's an interesting mix of eclectic, nostalgic, and quaint. Very nice!

Fantastic view from the room. The room was clean and comfortable.

Will stay again. It was clean and updated.
