Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, you'll be just a short 10-minute drive from the slopes of Sugar Mountain Resort and a 12-minute drive from the thrilling runs of Beech Mountain Resort. For a day of adventure, Grandfather Mountain is just a 24-minute drive away, where you can explore the iconic Mile High Swinging Bridge and encounter native wildlife. Back at the cabin, you'll find all the comforts of home, including free WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, a cozy fireplace, and a smart TV with cable channels and streaming. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, outside deck grill, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, blender, and toaster, allowing you to easily prepare delicious meals. Enjoy your culinary creations at the dining table, surrounded by the cabin's rustic charm. Dining is also available on the wonderful deck where you feel like you are in a tree house away from the world! After a day of outdoor exploration, unwind on the balcony with a cup of coffee, your favorite beverage or relax in the living room, where you'll find good old fashioned games to unplug and enjoy some family time. The cabin also features two bathrooms, plenty of towels, guest toiletries, a hair dryer, an iron and board, air conditioning in both bedrooms, heating throughout, and wonderful linens, ensuring your comfort throughout your stay. With a baby gate, high chair, pack and play and games for kids, this cabin is perfect for families. Secure parking in the garage completes the package, making your mountain retreat a truly carefree experience. \*Things To Note Please \~Stairs are required to enter this property. We ask our guests to make sure this is something they are comfortable with prior to booking. \~The drive does have a slight incline as so many mountain properties do! It is what make us the mountains. It is paved, however, manageable by 99% of our guests regardless of the type of car they may drive. And... it is maintained in the winter by a wonderful local gentleman on call for us with his snow plow! He never lets us down and we feel super fortunate to have him look after our driveway on the many wintry days the high country produces! \~The property does have 1 security camera facing the driveway and mounted above the garage. This is for monitoring the property when it is unoccupied and for monitoring winter conditions of the drive. We turn it off when our guests arrive except to periodically check conditions of snow accumulation. The town center is within walking distance, as long as you don’t mind a few hills on the return. I had to work remotely during my visit, and the Wi-Fi was exceptionally fast—ideal for both work and streaming. The bed was very comfortable, and the deck was a highlight. I enjoyed sitting outside after dark with minimal issues from mosquitoes. Lisa was incredibly kind and responsive. It’s conveniently located near Banner Elk restaurants and the park, as well as other activities. Decorated in a welcoming mountain style with lots of bear accents, it had everything we needed. My husband and I had a relaxing visit and plan to return.
