Why stay in a hotel when you can have a whole condo? The open floor plan of this downtown condo—with skylights and hickory floors—includes a cozy dining area and a living room with comfortable leather sofas, a flat screen TV and one of two gas fireplaces. And when you’re not taking advantage of the fine dining Carmel is known for, the kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless appliances. The master suite has a King bed, a fireplace, and a private bath with a large tub and a steam shower. The second guest room has a Queen bed, and the second bath, located in the hall, has a walk-in shower. Elevator access. Single garage (fits one small/medium car only) in the Carmel Realty lot on Junipero (1/2 block away). There is unmetered street parking on Junipero past 5th, and a free parking lot (no overnight) on 3rd, between Junipero and Torres.  Carmel-by-the-Sea TOT License 25759 [enter desc]

Perfect Location

We loved our stay at Banyon. The accommodations were perfect for two couples. We loved the easy walk to restaurants, shopping and the beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful location for Carmel Plaza and Ocean Avenue shopping and dinug. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The offered garage was specified for use by smaller cars, but appeared to only be suitable for Minis and Smartcars.

Wonderful condo, great location.

We really enjoyed this condo. Well stocked, close to everything. The access code emailed to us was incorrect but we were able to call and get a code that worked without any trouble.

This condo is the best! We enjoyed the spaciousness as well as the perfect location. The condo was clean and we'll appointed with all you need for a great get away You can walk to all the restaurants/shops no problem. Highly recommend from these two world travellers.

Condo was perfect for us! Beautifully decorated, clean and stocked with everything we'd want. Location in downtown Carmel was great. We walked to everything - shops, restaurants, beach! Definitely would stay here again!

Not very good for handicapped people.

excellent resort but I'm on crutches and you cannot park to drop off your vacation belongings you have to walk a block and if you're going to make it a long stay it's a long walk with your stuff. Also not very good for someone on crutches. The bathrooms aren't handicap set up

Everything you need, exactly where you want to be!

My family and I stayed at Banyan for a long weekend visit to Carmel and had a wonderful time. The Condo is perfectly situated off a main street through town, right above an adorable restaurant, yet was still very quiet at night. The space feels luxurious with high quality finishings throughout and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for the few meals we cooked during our stay. The location is SO perfect - walkable to anything and everything in town, and parking was a breeze! Our vehicle was a bit too big for the garage space, but there was always ample street parking at all hours of the day. We had a bit of trouble getting into the gate upon arrival, but Debra was prompt in her helpful response and it was smooth sailing from then on! Would 1000% return and recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in one of our favorite places :)

Banyan Stay in Carmel by the Sea

Let me get this minor item out of the way, the Living room fireplace was being a bit tricky to operate, so couldn't use it. That was the only negative, and a very small one at that. The Banyan turned out to be a perfect location for walking the neighborhood. Parking was never an issue, and we always parked on the street. As for the unit, it couldn't have been nicer! Everything we needed, was provided for us, so we definitely will be back at another time! The above rating is showing a 5, but in my book, and I don't do this very often, it was every bit a 10!!! Could NOT have been more perfect!!

We’ve traveled to Carmel a dozen times, and this time decided to stay in a VRBO for more flexibility and space, since we were traveling with friends. We found Banyan — and from booking to departure, everything was perfect! The location is ideal: quiet, spacious, clean, and well-organized. Everything we needed was readily available. The garage was a bit too small for our SUV, so we did not use it for the car, but it worked perfectly for storing our golf clubs — much easier than bringing them into the condo. We had no trouble finding street parking nearby. Communication with Kyle was excellent — fast, easy, and responsive. Our only complaint? We couldn’t stay longer! Next time we visit Carmel, this will be the first place we check for availability. Diana and Greg T.

Perfection!

Banyan really is in the perfect spot. It is an upscale, well stocked condo. While it is in the downtown area, it is very quiet and comfortable. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, and a market across the street. We plan to come back soon!

Great location!

We loved the location of this home in Carmel. We stored the car and never used it again. Rented e-bikes and rode up to Cannary Road for lunch via the coastal road. A must do!

Well appointed condo!

The condo was spacious and clean. Lots of windows so the light was lovely. Nice location with a lovely Lebanese/Greek restaurant across the road on Junapero. I would recommend it.

Great property!

Banyan unit is wonderful. It was an easy walk to all the shops and restuarants in Carmel. No issues with parking on the street as we had a large SUV. We will rent again!

Great place to stay in Carmel

The apartment was clean. Staff very helpful. We had an issue with the living area fireplace not starting. Someone stopped by within an hour to fix it and this was outside normal working hours. Easy walk to the ocean. Thanks.

Local Luxury

Carmel-by-the-Sea complete immersion. We left the car in the garage over our entire stay. Uber is easy if you prefer to go further afield. One could easily live here fulltime. Beautiful as it is cozy...cannot wait to return.
