“Everything about the stay was more than expected. We were so impressed with the staff (and we don’t speak Portuguese) upon arrival, that we immediately booked a second night! They treated our dogs great, brought a dog bed to the room for them, allowed them at the pool (there was another couple with a dog there too!). Small bar at the pool, a second building with more rooms and amenities opening soon, the groups are beautiful and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful breakfast….will……

“My stay here was the perfect finale to wind down from an extensive road trip of Lisbon, Nazare, Aveiro and Porto. The grounds, lobby and room exceeded my expectations. Staff was friendly and welcoming. My room, all on 1st floor, was sparkling clean with a view of olive trees. Mini fridge partially stocked with plenty of extra room. Air conditioned as well. Nespresso coffee maker available by request. On site restaurant and bar well appointed with excellent cuisine. I enjoyed a massage at the on……

“Heaven on earth. Absolutely unique and amazing stay. From the welcome sightings of the stork nests to the view of beautiful horses calmly standing by the lake I fell in love with the environment. Our check in was fun and very enjoyable. Perhaps the welcome wine glass made the experience that more enjoyable. Great friendly staff that gave a great overview of what the Herdade had to offer. Regret only spending one night but we can’t wait to go back and take full advantage of all that we missed……
