"The happy hour was delightful. The hotel location perfect! The room was 2 king suite, beyond our expectation. The concierge was never around when we inquired however, the front desk was very helpful. Access to bikes were very convenient, took a ride down by the waterfront."

The Palmetto Hotel

The Palmetto Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Great little boutique property with perfect location. Decor is beautiful, bar was great (try the espresso martini!), staff was very friendly and helpful, and the included continental breakfast was icing on the cake. Would recommend and would stay again. Best suited for couples of any age. Not really suited for families of young children."

The Ryder Hotel

The Ryder Hotel

8/10 Good
"This property was super cute and retro vibey in terms of decor. I loved the refillable water stations on each floor, steamer instead of iron, custom hooded bathrobe, really nice hairdryer, and the great little pool bar. However, the room was small and the bathroom was very small (as in the door almost hit the toilet) and there was only a tiny closet to hang clothes with no drawers. Not a deal breaker considering the great staff and excellent location, just something to note if you're a heavy packer. Finally, I was on the 4th floor, and there's no direct elevator to 4th floor. You take elevator to third, walk all the way to the other side, and then take a different elevator to the 4th floor. Then I had to walk all the way back down the hall - literally the furthest possible room from the lobby. So again, something to consider if you are dragging lots of bags."

"Our room was clean however there were stains on the floor, fold out couch had a thin flat mattress, paint drips on the wall paper, and would not close all the way."

Hotel Bennett

Hotel Bennett

8/10 Good
"This is a very comfortable hotel right in the middle of Charleston with lots of good restaurants, museums and historical attractions within walking distance. The staff is helpful, omnipresent and courteous. Not cheap, however. Rooms are reasonably priced but amenities can be costly. We liked our room, but some issue with water pressure and water running through cold water faucet never really got cold. Overall we would recommend the Bennett/ provided you are not on a budget! Complimentary car service was a big plus."
