Ventura Vista Retreat Summary: Welcome to this beautiful home in North Columbus! With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests. Our spacious kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs, and you can enjoy entertainment with a Smart TV and free Wi-Fi. Relax on the back patio or take a dip in the calming swimming pool—your sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle! To ensure transparency, we provide both professional photos and real-time images from our cleaning team. Book with us; we’d love to host you! The Space: \*\*\*Our pool is open year-round and is not heated. Please inquire if you have questions. \*\*\* Guests can enter the house through a digital keypad. Once you step inside, you will be greeted by a spacious and well-lit living room. Off the living room is a dining area, kitchen, and laundry area. The kitchen has an access door going to the backyard and the carport. Walkthrough on the left of the kitchen, you will see the master bedroom with a full bathroom and a huge walk-in closet. NOTE: the jets on the tub do not work. Please do not try to use them! The master bedroom also has an access door going to the backyard. Three other bedrooms and a bathroom can be seen when you walk in the hallway from the main entrance found on the left side. We have an outdoor pool, a covered patio with a table and chairs, and a BBQ grill for your use. A half bathroom can be found near the pool area. NOTE: we have weekly maintenance and cleaning performed on our pool. The pool services do not take long and will not disrupt your stay. We will need access to the yard/pool area if you stay with us on service day. Thanks for understanding! \*\*\*A pack 'n play/travel crib is available upon request.\*\*\* Guest Access: The house has a digital keypad at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home. The Neighborhood: This house is located in a residential area near major highways, shopping centers, and leisure parks! Only a few minutes away from Northside Medical Center, Columbus Botanical Garden, Heath Park, dining options, and more! Getting Around: Uber, Lyft, and other Taxi available, but driving is encouraged! Other Things to Note: \*\*\*A pack 'n play/travel crib is available upon request.\*\*\* We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 21 years of age to book. If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment. We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets. Interaction with Guests: We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free check in via a digital door code. We chose the White House with the pool. Only the downstairs of the home had central air. The upstairs had wall units for air conditioning, and was insufficient cooling the area. The upstairs bathroom had a hole near the tub in the wall. The the door of the downstairs bathroom was swollen and difficult to close and the handle was falling off. The kitchen had a stove that was very temperamental and difficult to regulate heat. There is no dishwasher.. as far as cutlery there was only 12 forks and two spoons. The refrigerator wobbled and was unlevel, we put cardboard underneath the refrigerator to stabilize it. The home has a cottage attached to it, and the yard, and the pool were shared by those occupants. We were aware that there would be other people on the property.. the outdoor patio is a hazard. There are several boards that were popping up and if you stepped on them would move. The grills were in poor shape. In the bedrooms, we were given either a fitted sheet or the top sheet, but not both to each bed and in one bed the comforter did not even go over the bed and the sheet was the wrong size. They also answered any questions in a timely manner. However, pictures were a little decieving for this rental. The landscaping was not up to par. Also, the AC went out during the middle of our stay. It did get resolved but took an entire day for the house to cool down. There was ground in food on carpet in bedroom and under refrigerator that had leaked into kitchen floor. The second night we were there a POSSUM got into the house somehow and climbed into the sleeper sofa. The property manager told me not to worry that they weren’t aggressive!! They were nice to send a critter control tech with a trap the next morning which stayed behind the couch for the rest of our visit: The flies and mosquitos are terrible bc of creek right behind the house. The windows were completely filthy and there was a terribly maintained kitchen and cooking equipment-pots were put back inside cabinets with burned food inside. The property manager was responsive and sent a Walmart delivery of pot holders and measuring cups. The bathroom floors looked like a gas station-stained and broken tile and smelled like urine. I will never rent from this group again. The home was perfect for enjoying family. The house is conveniently located near a Walmart and other grocery/drug stores.
