“Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”

“I actually enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We had a classic double room and it was bigger than it looked in the photos. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed (hot drinks, Elemis shampoo, body wash). Some slight wear and tear on the furniture (warped side tables and desk) which is easily fixed and will make the room near perfect. The only issue we did have was this thinness of the walls and ceilings. We were woken by people walking in their room above us and could hear……

“Our room was beamed and the superking sized bed was comfortable. There was a very thick duvet - a bit too hot for the weather - but an excellent fan was already in the room. Evening meal was good and a nice atmosphere in the bar and dining area. The waiter Connor was very attentive. Gluten free options are available but double check when ordering just to be sure!! Breakfast was self serve in a rustic kitchen . No GF options . All in all , a good one night stopover and a good price. Would go ……
