When we arrived the place didn't let us use the crdit card we made the reservation with, even though we had used it before at the same location.

I work with homeless and working poor households. Immediately after I booked this room with Expedia I received a text message from the hotel stating that I needed to give them a $50 deposit. Right after that I received another text saying that I could not use my credit card (third party?). I called the hotel and asked what I should do. I was told to cancel the room through expedia. I immediately contacted Expedia through their chat app. After over an hour with no resolution I asked to speak with a supervisor and was called by Jeff. He stated that he would reach out to the hotel via email since they could not reach anyone by phone which seemed odd since I had spoken to them earlier. Jeff also stated that he or an associate would call me the next day. No one called and I then received an email 2days later in the late evening that stated there as nothing they could do. Now our foundation is out over $400. We have spent over $39,000 with Expedia since February 2021. I have been booking rooms since then and have never had this problem before. 0 stars for hotel and Expedia.
