“The actual hotel was clean and staff were great. However the restaurant experience was very bad. We were told half the meals on the menu were not available, plus the draught beer was also not available. I ordered fish and chips, which when arrived the fish was hard as a rock and definitely not fresh. They got me another one but that too wasn’t very good either. “Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”
