Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Plovan vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, put in your passport, important documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a cardigan as it can get chilly in the cabin. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance flying is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help lower your risk.
