"I really used to like this hotel as its in a beautiful location. I won't go back unless they buck there ideas up, check in was 4pm, room not ready after driving for 5 hours, no bar open and it's miles away from Inveraray, 5pm given a room key and found out it hadn't been cleaned. Bar opened 5pm my husband got me a drink and manager or owner (he turned up about 16.50 ) said by the time we had the drink our alternative room would be ready. We were not the only ones waiting at least another 5 or 6...

"We had a lovely few days in Walled Garden Mews 10 in Melfort Holiday Village. It was well thought-out and so comfortably slept four adults and two children on the sofa bed on the mezzanine. There was plenty of storage and the kitchen was one of the best equipped I've come across in a holiday let. The facilities were great; the children were able to run free and enjoy the games rooms and the swings that were just next door/outside and we all loved going to the pool, which was beautifully warm....

Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. The lodge was perfect, baby gates and highchair provided, and the pool lovely and warm, encouraged a swim every day! "We stayed here for a week, our second visit. The room was as good as before although the bed is a bit soft for us, and apart from that it was very comfortable. The hotel has a position which gives the most perfect view over the loch and the paddocks with the local Highland cows with their goat friends. The staff are excellent and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Food is about as good as you can get with a decent choice. We would highly recommend staying here, and we will book again for next year."
