"We booked for one night through Expedia. Although my receipt clearly showed the correct arrival date, somewhere between Expedia and the hotel desk, the date was entered incorrectly by one night. So they did not have a reservation for us for that night. Seemed like a simple thing -- they had empty rooms and I had a receipt -- just change it and check us in. Apparently it doesn't work that way with third party bookings. Hotel staff and manager said we had to contact Expedia to figure it out. Staffer was alone that night and obviously overworked right then, so I can excuse her for seeming less than empathetic at the time. Once I finally got past the automated help at Expedia, the staffer and the Expedia person got together to cancel our reservation on both ends, and we just booked a room as we were standing there. Staffer offered us each a free ice cream for our troubles. So check-in was rough, but the room was good. Breakfast was good. I don't think this happens very often so consider this a good review; one less star because I suspect the error was on the hotel side (Expedia receipt was correct) but I can't prove that and don't know how these things get entered into computers."

"Check-in was very easy. The room was very clean. The walk-in areas around the hotel were great along the Missouri river. Early morning pictures at sunrise was phenomenal against the water in the marina."
