The property is not as advertised. It is very run down in a rather run-down area. The property owner was pleasant but apparently has managers that are local that are extremely unprofessional. Per the lengthy instructions, we brought concerns to their attn upon checking in (ceiling fan not working, ants in kitchen, sand on floor etc) and while they could have been items we would have overlooked, we didn't want to be responsible for them. On the second day we noticed soiled linens, with what appeared to be fecal matter smeared on towels. We brought it to the attn of the owner, took pictures etc and within 10 min a man named Jay, a large-bouncer-ish man showed up at the property door (at 8pm at night) to inspect our concerns. Against our better judgement we let him in to see for himself and with intimidation and mockery he proceeded to smell and lick the towels in question (appalling) and claimed he personally cleaned the towels. We asked him to leave immediately and emailed Kathy (owner) once again to tell her we couldn't believe she sent him over to do that. Requested a full refund for the ridiculous matter at hand and having to leave that part of the island at 9pm at night with our kids to find new housing closer in to Waikiki- cleaner and safer. She only refunded a part of the stay. Buyer be warned. Not all that glitters is gold.
