“It was a place to stay for two nights, and it was quiet. I stayed on the 2nd (top) floor. It is a basic motel, with parking immediately in front of the rooms. No amenities, and nothing nearby (walking distance) for dinner/snacks/drinks.”

The yard is filled with beautiful tree’s & flowers. Breakfast is a wonderful variety of fresh and baked foods that go above and beyond. Sheets, towels, mattresses, and bathrooms are all high quality and well-selected. Highly recommended!”

“Pictures did not match the room. Everything was dated. None of the windows worked. Saw multiple spiders and cobwebs. Black mold on windows in bathroom. Place needs a good cleaning and update. Would not stay again. If it wasn't such a pain to get a refund after checking in I would of left.”

“The 1661 Resort is hands down my favorite place to stay on Block Island. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It's also far enough from the downtown bars and crowds that you can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being just a short walk or bike ride away from everything. The resort is beautiful, and the recent updates to the farm and the new spa and fitness area across the street make it even better. Everything feels fresh, thoughtfully designed, and adds to the overall……

“Very clean, quiet, and friendly. Staff was very welcoming, escorting us to our room and explaining everything. View of Wood River and pond from our room was fantastic. We saw a variety of birds and wildlife from our patio. We have stayed at the Stagecoach House Inn several times and plan to stay there again.”
