"My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life."

"Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry.
Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left.
It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but...

"A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided.
The bed was lovely and comfortable.
People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem.
If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. "

"Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t fault it at all. The staff were amazing and extremely hospitable. We were awarded a complimentary upgrade for my boyfriend’s birthday and were able to use the Bentley to be dropped off in town. Rooms were lovely and clean, and very warm! Will definitely be returning. "
"Lovely quiet courtyard room - 309 - would request again for the peaceful location. We have stayed in a lake view room in the past and would pick the courtyard over it, as it means you aren’t on the main road.
All the staff are friendly and helpful, from check-in, to spa, to restaurant. "
