“Great little house and stay all around! I would have given 5 stars but we were not expecting the water from the kitchen sink to have an oder. As the day came to an end, it got better but we were a bit apprehensive about it. Everything else was great! I have to note that the bedroom bed is super comfortable!”

“Perfect for a quick over night after a concert in Gainesville. ”

“cozy little get away that ticks all the boxes for a clean and comfortable place to stay in the verdant melrose area. would definitely return again!”

“A clean and comfortable small house in a very cool area. Nicely decorated and very functional. ”

“The layout is pretty crazy and one of the two bathrooms has 3 doorways, one of which has no door and faces the main front area of the house including the kitchen/dining area. Truck or SUV recommend with 4x4 if it’s raining. Very remote, which I’m okay with.”

“Older home, very clean, great boat parking!Only about 4 miles to the boat launch on Orange lake”

“We booked this property for our family if 4 for one night, but we had to check in late. The host was very courteous when I gave them a heads up and gave instructions on how to check in which was great. However, there were a few things we were not counting on. The “full” bath upstairs didn’t have a shower bc it’s tub was against a 4ft wall… the space was very strange… this left us using a very small shower downstairs . There was dust and dead bugs on several places near kitchen. But the biggest……

“Great place, but previous guests must have put dirty dishes and cooking equipment away as we found the air fryer was gross and a few other items. They were in cabinets, so I am sure the cleaning crew didn't think to investigate it. Otherwise it was very clean. The only other negative was that the number that can sleep there can't eat at the table together. However, it clearly shows this in the photos, so we were not surprised. We LOVED the screened-in porch and spent most of our time there, so……

“Such a cute place! We had the best time!”

“We loved our weekend stay. The room is so adorable and comfortable. The host immediately replies to your messages and is so kind. The rental is just a few minutes from the stadium making it great for Gator games. We would love to return in the future.”

“This suited our needs perfectly. Clean, pet friendly, reasonable rates and minutes from Shands hospital. Cheaper than a hotel and has washing machine/dryer which was a big plus. David, the host, replied immediately to my question at check in. No complaints here. Thank you for the hospitality.”

“The Depot Village Family were very responsive to my questions before arriving and for things needed while we were there! The location was super convenient to downtown and the campus. Would definitely stay again!! ”
