“My family, including two children, and I have been traveling around Europe for four years, and this is the first time we faced such a situation. Through Expedia, we booked and fully paid for a room for two nights — December 30 and 31. The room was very cold, and we had to sleep fully dressed. After 3:00 PM, the property owner, accompanied by two men, knocked on the door, behaved aggressively, and demanded we leave immediately. Despite showing our booking confirmation and payment proof, he said:……

“Nice property overlooking the Elbe river. They don't take credit cards which requires a transfer from a bank for 70% of your stay to reserve your room. The owners are very friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. They own and operate an ice cream shop and restaurant with typical German food options adjacent to the hotel. We enjoyed dinner dining on the terrace next to the Elbe. Typical of many European hotels there is no A/C or fans but they are seldom needed. Bathroom was updated and……

“Das Zimmer war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Das alte Häusschen war sehr charmant erhalten und hat zu der wunderbar romantischen Atmosphäre beigetragen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Auch das Essen ist Restaurant war von wunderbarer Qualität. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort einkehren.”

“Ein Hotel welches in die Jahre gekommen ist, aber durchaus durch seinen Charme besticht. Parkplätze sind zwar vorhanden, aber nur begrenzt und am Wochenende vollkommen belegt. Umliegend gibt es leider nur kostenpflichtige Parkplätze oder Parkplätze, die eine Zeitbegrenzung von zwei Stunden haben. Einchecken verlief problemlos, Auschecken hingegen etwas umständlicher, das kein Personal vor Ort war.”

“到达酒店时门口没有站门童提行李，办理入住和前台反应了之后他们立刻帮忙去搬行李。入住的两天里进出都未见过门口有门童。办理入住时有欢迎饮料，房间宽敞干净，装饰和配色漂亮，客房清洁员很可爱，把我们的墨镜戴在房间里酒店小熊的脸上。本来想尝试酒店的米其林餐厅，被告知周五周六都没有位置了，周日周一不营业。所以想来此吃饭一定要提前预约。不过我认为建议酒店是否可以考虑为住客预留几个餐厅位置。酒店位置很方便，附近有一些餐馆和咖啡厅，离商业街和景点也不远，总体来说是不错的体验”

“The hotel is centrally located and was quite lively with a great restaurant right on the Elbe. The room was clean and VERY spacious with lovely river views. Jessica at Reception was wonderful. A great place to stay in Bad Schandau!!!”
