“The resort definitely needs some TLC, since it's been up for sale needed updates and repairs are just not happening. Having said that the place is comfortable and clean and the staff are fantastic. We were a bit disappointed that the restaurant is now only open on Friday and Saturday nights but understandable considering how quiet the place is through the week. The upside is that there's almost no one there mid week so you almost have the place to yourself. The nearby pub and cafe/Indian……

“Great place, it’s my third time staying at the lodge. Easy access to all the moutain hikes, amazing scenery and lots of wildlife. ”

“Katy the owner was so friendly as well her dog Butler. Beautiful river which is easy access from the cabins. Our stay was short due to other committments during the day but by night it was so peaceful. We bonded because of no wi-fi which was great not having kids or us on technology. Different experience for us from our normal hotel/motel stay but we loved it. ”

“Such a relaxing stay in these very private, very large motel-room like 1/2 cabins that have their own carport and covered outside sitting area. Loved looking out over the green grassy slope and seeing kangaroos morning and late afternoon. A very quiet and peaceful place. Bonus having an amazing restaurant here too.”

“Stayed one night stop over. Room as excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and the Lamb Shank meat feel off the bone. Would definitely recommend the Commercial Hotel Boonah as a great place to stay.”
