Overall, the property was enchanting. Our party of 8 enjoyed the week immensely. It was a short walk to the beach over only one dune. However, the arrangement of rooms was bizarre, like the elevator being in a bedroom. The top floor captain's lookout tower was stacked full of stored of bar stools such that entry was prohibitive. The commercial kitchen stove did not work properly. Settings of 375 degrees only yielded 175 degree heat. The rental agent/owner was not responsive to our complaint. In the end, he blamed us for all the house's deficiencies and returned less than half of our 3000 security deposit. We will never do business with this shyster again.

We checked in Friday afternoon. The process was very smooth and aligned with the instructions we received. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances that we utilized all week. We cooked every meal as the kitchen was great for my bride l niece who is going into her second year of culinary in high school. The bedrooms and bathroom are exactly as pictured. The kids loved the pool table and other games. The view and access to the beach was chef's kiss.

Tons of space, amazing views (dolphins!), steps from the beach, well stocked kitchen, ice makers were great, and pool access was extremely welcome after we encountered a few days of excessive jellyfish and sea lice, as well as rough ocean currents. We had some minor issues with check in (settings to wrong time zone), the oven (analog dials and no preheat confirmation left us guessing), smoke detectors (they went off for no reason at 3AM one night), and we wish the listing had stated that the renter was responsible for providing propane for the grill (grill also hadn't been cleaned), but otherwise the property was just about perfect for our large extended family's first trip to the Outer Banks. We're already looking forward to next summer!

Great property, clean, well stocked and perfect location.

Our third year at this property. Highly recommend it for any group. Clean, well stocked, lots of ammenties, great view, easy steps to the beach, walking distance to resturants. Discriptions and pictures of the home are very accurate. You'll not be disappointed.

Amazing Home!!

Perfect location, private and quiet. Private beach, no stress trying to find a place to put the chairs provided. View from family room is amazing, you can see dolphins from the windows or the deck. This is the best vacation home we have ever rented. The kitchen has every tool you could possibly need, to include amazing 8 burner commercial range with a griddle, kitchen aid mixer, bbq tools, pots and pans, champagne corks. Home was immaculately clean, beds were comfortable and almost all the rooms have a ceiling fan. Even though it rained every day except 2 we had a wonderful family vacation. Will definately book this home again.

Great space with a beautiful view

Great home to rent for family or couples! It has a nice open area to gather and also lots of space to escape and be alone. Love the home Love the view and love the area! Highly recommend!

Nice place to spend Christmas at the beach

This house offers a great view and access to the beach/ocean from the great room/kitchen/dining room. We stayed over Christmas and though it was cold, it was nice having a gas fireplace, a hot tub and a pool table. It has a lot of sleeping spaces throughout the house each with their own bathrooms.

Beautiful cottage

My family had an amazing vacation at this beautiful cottage. When we arrived the downstairs ac was not working but the owner was there the next morning to put in multiple window units to keep us cool. Plenty of space to gather as a family and great bedrooms to get a little quiet time. View of the ocean was amazing and easy walk to sit and play on the beach. The screened porch with hot tub and fireplace was also a very popular place to hang out. The pack and play and high chair was a nice touch for our youngest grandson. I could go on and on. If you are thinking about a cottage in this area trust me this is the one to rent!

Wonderful property, everything you can ask for

Once again our family had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home. Great location, well maintained, spacious & clean. Kitchen well equipped to cook for the group, Many thoughtful amities, including a pool table, beach chairs, bikes, a ping pong table, outdoor grill. Walking distance to several resturants, grocery store a short drive away. AND of course, the view of the Atlantic from the main room and deck, and just a few steps from the uncrowned beach You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic place

A wonderful place to stay! Everything stated in listing is accurate. Zero negatives about this place. Kitchen was large and had all utensils, dishes, pans, etc for whatever cooking needed. Location was wonderful and very quiet; loved all the Martin birds! A true gem of a spot...if we could have stayed longer, we would have. Absolutely recommend this place!

Perfect location, beautiful house

We visited in April (technically off-season but great weather for a New Englander). The location was amazing - directly on the beach with gorgeous water views from the main living area. Close to the town of Duck (boardwalk was lovely) adjacent to the Sanderling Resort and a short drive to Corolla (wild horse tour, shopping, lighthouse etc.). Our group loved playing pool and ping pong. Hot tub was great and well maintained. Kitchen is a dream - made it easy to enjoy meals in rather than pay for restaurants. We had the beach to ourselves most days since it was off-season. Host was responsive and helpful. House was also very dog-friendly - easy to go the beach and rinse them off in the outside shower. Would love to return!

Spring Break 2024

This property was amazing. When you walk in you feel like you are home! The decor was great!! The location was easy to get to and easy to go to all the Outer Banks destinations. We took a short drive and took a Wild Horse Adventure Tour and saw wild horses on the beach. We toured the Wright Brothers Museum. We drove to Manteo...We saw lighthouses & we shopped! We ate some wonderful meals! It was a perfect 5 day get away!! I highly recommend The Oceanfront Oasis! The owner was amazing to work with & and the views of the beach were perfect to wake up to each morning. GREAT Trip had by all!

Family getaway

Beautiful ocean views. Enjoyed the spa at Sanderling. Good location. Garage floor is slippery when wet. My son in law and my husband both slipped and fell. Injuries to foot, knee, and hip. Tried getting a message to the host but was unsuccessful. We cooked a lot in the beautiful kitchen. Needed more paper towels, kitchen towels, and garbage bags. Affordable but VRBO charges too many high fees which drives the total cost too high for frequent visits. Charged for trip insurance when we declined coverage. Overall the house and Duck were nice.
