“We did not know but were allocated the last remaining room ( £200 room only ).
This room was above entertainment for a wedding party ..that finished at 2am, thus no sleep.
This room should NEVER have been allocated!”

Close to everything in Athlone and a lovely view. We had some bad luck with a delayed check-in (room wasn't ready by 3pm), our bathroom sink was broken and it needed to be fixed, and we had to have our mattress flipped over due to an uncomfortable exposed spring. The staff were very apologetic and did their best to help us. They offered us a free drink at the bar for all the trouble. Hot tip: Ask for extra pillows!”

“We loved this hotel. The grounds, lobby, and rooms were all immaculate. Having the ruins right out back to explore was awesome. We were in close proximity to everything in town. The bathtub was lovely for a bubble bath; the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming at all times. I only had two small issues, neither are large enough to remove a star but I want to mention them anyway. I think either explaining at check-in or having a little sign in the……
