“We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended.”

“The host was friendly helpful and I had an enjoyable stay. Welsh breakfast was delicious and of high quality. Bedroom is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit away from the castle but 10 mins walk from pubs and restaurants so it is quiet at night. Host was helpful in trying to get me a taxi for Sunday which was a bit of a chaos. If I pass by there that would be the place I stay.”

“I've lost count of the number of times I have stayed at The Mariner's. As a result, I have been accommodated in a number of different rooms The rooms are comfortable, light, spacious and very clean. Apart from a good supply of tea & coffee etc, each room has a hair dryer, an additional plug in radiator (although I have never had cause to use one) and, in most rooms, ironing facilities. The staff are excellent, truly excellent being friendly and very helpful. A nice friendly & popular bar where……

“Thought it was a bit cheeky to be told at Check In Continental breakfast was included but cooked breakfast wasn't and had to be paid for in addition.”

“Room was very small but well organised. While the noise from the pub downstairs was barely discernible, the noise from other guests returning to their rooms was loud.”

The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the grounds impeccably maintained, resulting in a perfect family reunion weekend involving picnics in the gardens, meals in the restaurants and restful sleeps. “Nice stay at this cosy hotel. Good location & great parking - situated nicely between Saundersfoot & Tenby. Friendly staff, nice brekkie & recommended if you are visiting the area & don’t want to be in the middle of it all but still easily accessible if you want to go into either place. Very nice!”
