“We had reserved a room with two beds, and got a room with one double bed. The bathroom was tiny, so there was no place to put my make-up or curling iron. There wasn't a closet to hang anything up. It was clean, and we survived. We also had to drive to another town for dinner and breakfast.”

“Beautiful lobby! All the staff were courteous and friendly. Very helpful with tourist info. The rooms were modest but very clean and equipped. Recommend for pleasant, modestly priced accommodation”

“Nice place and very friendly staff. There were a few things that were in disrepair - our thermostat didn’t work. Floors were sticky in many areas. But aside from sticky floors, the rooms were generally clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent- lots of good choices and hot food options. Aside from a few flaws, it was a good place for the price and I would come back there.”

“Check in was one of the best... if not the best I've ever had. She was efficient and pleasant. Popcorn was fresh. Room was ok. Bed was good and comfortable. Room clean . TV channel options were very good. Ac vent had visible build up. Shower head tile was cut out. We were next to elevator and on the 3rd floor (4 floors) noise was fairly loud rm 320. Medium size Stain on carpet between beds. Pool key pad faulty. Pool/ hot tub was clean and good for swimming. Parking sufficient.”

“Booked this hotel for the use of the pool for our children on Fourth of July weekend so they had a fun time, unfortunately the pool was closed in the middle of the summer. So we checked out early. I have yet to hear from the property manager to let us know if we can get a refund for the night NOT used. Don’t include the pool in your listings if we can’t use it.”

“Huge room so space to spread out. Conveniently located close to huge Albertsons and easy access to Carlsbad Caverns. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking is on the street. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Great option for staying in Carlsbad”

“We had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and so helpful! Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was exceptional and the amenities, like the outdoor grill were perfect. We wish all Home 2 Suites were just like this one!”

“Be mindful of the directions when using maps. It routed us an hour out of the way thru a dark, isolated canyon with no wifi. Once we backtracked out of the canyon, the owner sent me her location and we found it. She is concerned and will get with tech to fix that. She checked us in with our late night arrival. The key card worked but didn’t open the door. Someone else came to assist us. Still couldn’t get the door to open with the card. We only stayed one night and the room was perfect for a……

“To visit the caverns, we have to choose a hotel in Carlsbad. There was not much options out there. Everything was OK here, with an unfair price though. However I would assume there hardly is a better option around this area.”
