“The hotel was dirty. The rooms were cleaned at a sub par level. There was hair on the bathroom floor, the carpets needed vacuuming both inside the rooms and in the hallways. Doors around the property were propped open. Front desk person was always outside. The pool bathroom door did not lock and was not cleaned. There was poop in the toilet that appeared to have sat overnight. The lobby smells like smoke. The room key cards constantly quit working. The tv had to be reset by the front desk person……
“Called to ask a question about our stay. The front desk person was so rude we stayed somewhere else. My room was nonrefundable, so that tells you something!!!!”
“The tub has a broken handle
As a older person did not feel safe in & out
The place was not cleaned one night
We had to ask
After that yes
They took away old soap & did not leave any new”
“Wait in line to check in, the walk-in couple ahead of us get a king on top floor. Then proceeds to tell me there are no available rooms left matching what I reserved, king top floor. She puts us in a room that smells like a wet dog and next to a room with someone who yelled and slammed doors at random times. Awful, never again. Unless you like wet dog smell mixed with smokers cologne and paper thin walls…do not stay here. Way too high priced for poor quality.”
“Wonderful country get-away! Rooms were clean and quaint. The farm was so fun to explore with lots of recycled metal sculptures throughout. Cute and friendly farm cats were a wonderful surprise! The hot breakfast (egg bake, warm Bundt coffee cake and fresh cut Georgia peaches) was the best breakfast I’ve had in a LONG time. Hosts sat with us during breakfast and shared amazing stories of the farm and their family. It was such a warm and personal end to the trip. I highly recommend The Cupola……
“For the first time in all my years using Expedia, we learned that we were double booked the evening before we were to leave for Mason City, IA. Of the three nights we booked we were told that we could stay the first and second night but not the third. We were offered either a two day stay or a refund. We chose the refund. Six days later, it took a call to Expedia to have the refund processed. I was able to reference the IM exchanges with the B&B on the Expedia platform to document the events.……
“Never ever take this hotel.....it's the most disgusting hotel that we ever stay before!! I even got itching after sat on the couch! By the way, we'ad booked for 4 nights for 2 rooms , but the front desk sent us an invoice and asked us to check-out (paid everything upfront)on the 4th morning; although we're more than happy to leave it, but who is going to return me the difference?”
