“Beautiful old property in an idyllic setting. Friendly and helpful staff. Food good on the whole. Shower cold this morning in both rooms, which was disappointing. Lovely large bath sheets. Coffee machine in each room. Enjoyed our stay.”

“This place has so many things that should be great - a beautiful setting, building and amenities. Unfortunately it’s let down by poor management.. From what I can see - the pool is a separate business - run by great staff, as a lido. It’s fab. The hotel is pretty but Fawlty Towers-like in its management. For example, my husband slashed his toe very badly on a broken glass on the lawn and the hotel staff had no idea what to do about it. The lido staff came to the rescue and did an excellent……

“Good location. AC is good. Just some noise is unpleasant...”

“The location is exceptional, situated in close proximity to Paddington station. However, I was unaware that every underground pass causes the entire room to vibrate. It is possible that this is due to my room being situated on the ground floor. Additionally, my room is conveniently located near a coffee machine. Even when guests check in at 1:00 AM, the reception staff remains remarkably friendly and provides directions to the coffee machine. Furthermore, I am able to hear all conversations……

“The location was good as close to Paddington station . The rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in the lower floor room and we need to carry our luggage through the narrow stairs. Also if we want to have air conditioning, need to pay extra 10 pounds . The layout of the room was very crowded with 5 beds and no desk and chair to work. The water outflow of the shower very slow, so water got accumulated. Also we could hear the noise of the underground and train.”
