“Very good location I. The center of St. Emilion. Very spacious room and shower. Tea and coffee available I. The common area. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but the host guided us to nearby free parking. She was very helpful in sourcing a taxi and suggesting places to go nearby”
“The stay was incredible. Their breakfast and dinner options were delicious, as was the wine. Pictures do not do it justice. AC kept the room cool on very hot days and the there was enough space for my fiancé and I. Highly recommend and would stay again”
“This B&B can only be reached by car. The room is clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful. They do not provide dinner but they will introduce the restaurants nearby. They own a vineyard. Guests are free to visit. They have a wine tasting session at 7 pm. The staff there explained their wine production in details. The wines are good. We have bought a few bottles from them. The breakfast was great. Surely will visit there again if we go to Bordeaux.”
“This property is staffed with very professional and knowledgeable staff whose job it is to make their guests comfortable and happy. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the Chateau and took the vineyard and wine storage areas with our guide, Thomas.
One cannot go wrong with the comfortable and large rooms here, very isolated that we were able to recover from our jet lag (from the USA) without any road or civilization clatter and noise. A big thank you to the efficient staff - especially to……
“Very environmentally friendly lodging, in an extremely walkable part of St. Emelion. Nath's (owner) mother owns the restaurant across the street. She has some recommended bottles of wine in the room with prices very clearly labeled. It was great to have AC, and a mini fridge. Would highly recommend!”
“The team at Chateau Bonalgue went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Special thanks to Anton for giving us a tour of the property and for answering all our questions on the wine making process. It’s really fascinating !
Our room was quaint and cosy. And it was nice to have access to the large and modern living room 24/7.
My husband and I highly recommend a stay at Chateau Bonalgue to anyone looking for an experience less impersonal than a hotel reservation.”
