"The free breakfast was great with different yogurt, cold lunch meat choices, bread, and boiled eggs. The room was adequate. It was nice to have a sink in the room. The shower does not provide shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. This hostel may be only 0.7 miles from the Zermatt train station, but it is an ascent at an incline uphill. May be hard with lots of bags. The taxi rate was $37 USD, which seemed high for a 5 minute drive. I walked from the train station, but it was considerably difficult with all my luggage."

"The hotel location is spectacular. We enjoyed the views immensley. I was a little worries about the set dinner, but was happy with the options in the end. Views of the Matterhorn were great from the dining room. At night the stars came out. The lady at reception kindly let us view the observatory too. No scientists were present, but clearly it was rwmotely operated. At night the observatory roof openend. No hesitation to stay again, despite the price tag! In the morning the train staff took our luggage down (for a fee) and we were able to walk down. That was such a beneficial option to have."

Positives: Location, breakfast, newly refurbished Negatives: Spa is not included (not even the pool), no parking in the property (public one nearby), noisy if you want to sleep early (windows do a decent isolation job, but its really close to a loud restaurant)"
