"Great place overall. Some of the activities were unpredictable and a bit disorganized but resort was really great, staff, beach, coral all very impressive."

"Loved the staff! They are kind & very helpful! The food was all made fresh that day and served hot-they came to tell you when every meal was ready! The fresh fruit every day was amazing! (100fjd per day for all meals in addition to lodging). The beds were clean and mosquito nets provided. The beach, view from the beach and snorkeling just off the beach was stunning! Showers are brisk and refreshing! No warm water available.. Cell service is spotty and WiFi is 20fjd per day so is a great place to go off-grid for a few days :)"

"Lovely resort in the Yasawas. We loved our beachfront buree with its own designated daybed and beach chairs. The meal plan was not optional and would probably have preferred to have had the choice. The Japanese restaurant (Donu) was fantastic and the chefs were all very focussed and professional! Food art is the best description!! Day spa was awesome too"

Barefoot Kuata Island Resort Fiji

10/10 Excellent
"This is an awesome island made extra special by the people who work there. Food is well prepared and more than adequate. I don't eat meat, however there was plenty for me to choose from. It's such a friendly happy place to stay. The vibe is wonderful. Our bure was beach front and the lapping of the sea was so soothing. We didn't participate in any of the activities as we were there to relax. Sunrises are stunning. Our stay was perfect"

Fijian family community stay in paradise.

Fijian family community stay in paradise.

10/10 Excellent
"My friends and I booked this stay at the last minute because we wanted an adventure and to get a feel for the 'real' Fiji. This homestay did not disappoint. Our host Bill and his wife Paula were absolutely wonderful. Bill is an excellent communicator who is prompt, professional and honest. He happily answered all of our questions and organised all of our transport and activities. Paula is an incredible chef and every meal we ate was full of local produce, either grown on their farm or caught on the reef. We were even lucky enough to score a crayfish dinner at no extra cost. During our time on Wayasewa, we explored the village and school, toured Bill's farm, met countless friendly people, attended a beautiful Church service, participated in a Kava Ceremony with the Village Chief and got to go snorkelling with Manta Rays and Reef Sharks. In addition to this, Bill is a wealth of knowledge and we all learned so much about Fijian history, life and culture from our conversations with him. Our 3 nights on Wayasewa were the highlight of our two week stay in Fiji and all four of us feel that we got exceptional value for money. If you're looking for a five star resort, this isn't the stay for you, but if you're wanting an authentic insight into how people really live in a Fijian village, then this is the best homestay you will ever find. It is wonderful to know that the money we spent over our stay all goes to these lovely people and the development of their beautiful village."

Paradise Village Homestay in Yasawa Islands, Fiji. Wifi available!

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Imeris for 6 nights with our 2-year-old son, and had a really special experience. The family and community were incredibly warm and welcoming, and our little boy was absolutely adored the whole time. Just a heads up, if you’re travelling with a baby, be prepared for a lot of love, including the occasional kiss from strangers The home-cooked food was a highlight, with fresh fish served most days. For the first few nights, we had the homestay to ourselves, which felt really personal and gave us a beautiful glimpse into local life. As the week went on, more guests arrived and it gradually shifted into more of a social, backpacker-style environment, with around a dozen other international travellers, mostly from Europe. Good to check in if that’s not the vibe you’re after. We also got upgraded to a lovely house on the hill, which gave us added privacy for the family! All in all awesome stay. Thanks so much"
