“We are extremely pleased with the host’s hospitality and support throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home. The host looked after us in every single way she could, and her kindness truly made a difference to our holiday.
The room was bright, spacious, and filled with fresh air and natural light — perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay. My family really enjoyed the peaceful environment and the cleanliness of the property.
We will definitely return……

“Lovely place to stay and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyd the hearty breakfast. The location is great to travel by train in to Cardiff city centre.
We will return and hopefully arrive earlier to fit in an evening meal - menu looked good.”

“**Disappointing anniversary stay**
We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms.
Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room. Although the hotel has confirmed this was the Deluxe category we booked, the room itself was very disappointing. It felt clinical rather……

“With so many negative reviews regarding the size of the room, we paid extra for their bigger room. On arrival we received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. The entrance to the rooms was having a mould problem, so an extractor had been installed and reed diffuser to mask the smell.
The room itself was comfortable, clean, no damp smells which I feared on entry to the block. As expected from previous reviews the bathroom was tiny but that wasn’t a problem… we were here for the……

“it was wonderful to have such a warm welcome to the property. It is beautifully presented. You can sit outside in the gardens, charge you car if required. The breakfast was delicious, the home made jam was really nice. it is a hidden gem”
