My friend and family went up for a weekend to do a self guided wine tour. My best friend and I share a birthday and we were celebrating! We booked at this hotel not knowing anything about it. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Laurel for the weekend as it was our anniversary. We enjoy visiting the area and wineries at least once a year. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful. We had a complete view of Seneca lake and liked how close we were to downtown Watkins Glen.

The hotel was excellent as a base for visiting several state parks in the area, the closest being Watkins Glen which is so close the hotel parking is just outside the official parking. The hotel has character from the rooms down to the unique features of selling its own home made ice-cream and beeswax. The breakfast is simple but nice, waffles (with the help of the waffle machine), apples, bananas and coffee.
