Quiet home on horse farm, halfway between Paducah & Wickliffe. Close to 60 & 286

Built originally in the 40s by my father-in-law for his new bride, this home raised my husband and his four siblings. The property has been owned by this family since the 1880s. It was a general farm, then a dedicated dairy farm until the early 1990s. When the dairy operation sold out, we bought the home place and some surrounding acreage. My daughter and her husband now live down near the barns and manage it as an equine facility. We live a few miles away. The Redhouse is between Highways 60 and 286, easily gotten to from highway 2532(County Line Rd), which connects the two state highways. The house has a Ring camera at the front door now. No cameras inside.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the trash
Please clean dishes after using them. They can be left in the drainboard your last morning.
Bed sheets should be left on the beds so I can see if any stains need to be treated. Covers/blankets can be left on the beds or hung on the blanket bars.
If you change the thermostat setting please put it back to 68 in the winter and 74 in the summer. Thanks!!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Guests are not allowed in the barn areas or horse occupied fields. I can show you around at a prearranged time though!
Please let me know a little about your stay, and eta. I supply eggs, English muffins, oatmeal, juice, coffee and tea. No food in bedrooms please!
Checkout is easy. Please put used towels in the washer, leave beds unmade and trash outside in the can. Thanks

We stayed for about two and a half weeks. The property is quiet and secluded. It was fun looking at the horses across the street every morning. The house was as described, very clean and quiet. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.

My family loved staying here. It was quaint, quiet, well-stocked with all the necessities. Jane was very communicative and we would love to stay there again with her. Being next to the horse farms gives the place a real charm.

Clean comfortable pretty country

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was homey and comfortable. We got to pet the horses and our host was just awesome. It’s close to Paducah but is in the country where it’s quiet and pretty. Definitely going back!

This beautiful little country house is so well kept, we enjoyed every minute here. We loved that it was out in the country on a quiet road, yet still easy enough to drive to Paducah and enjoy all the sights. The house is very clean, and great care was put into the decor. We felt immediately at home. We will stay here again if we're in the area!

ANOTHER FANTABULOUS STAY !!!!!!

This was our 4th time staying here, It's like a homecoming for us. The house is IMMACULATELY clean, smells fantastic & the sweet host leaves farm fresh eggs. The location is Gorgeous, quiet, & close to our family friends that we come to visit. As long as this rental is available, it will ALWAYS be our 1st choice.

The best place we ever stayed

Everything here was above and beyond nicer than home. Such a beautiful property and wonderful host. We loved it here! We enjoyed making breakfast in the kitchen which had everything we could need and Kiwi our pup loved the yard. Seriously would give this place 6 stars if I could. The house is beautiful and well cared for and full of cool historical details & decors. Thanks again for having us!

Everything We Needed

This house was everything we needed. Me and three buddies were in town for the weekend and needed a place to rest our heads at night and also prepare a couple meals. The hosue was clean and comfortable and the house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Definitely will be back next time we're around.

A great get away.

Spotlessly clean. The owner provides such special touches and attention to details. We enjoyed the super comfortable beds, breakfast options and my husband may have emptied the candy dish. We got up every morning to see the horses grazing. Peaceful and comfortable, like staying with family. We will definitely be back.

Very nice

House was bigger than I thought it would be, clean with lots of little amenities. Loved having the space outside to play with our dogs. Very quiet area. The only hard thing was finding it in the dark, but we got there on a second pass.
