“A good basic hotel for the price paid. Staff were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately stayed on a very warm evening and rooms had no aircon or fans available making sleeping almost impossible. Rooms pretty basic but clean and well maintained.”

“The hotel and staff are lovely. It is very out of the way (which is the point) but surrounded by amazing views of the mountains and lakes. Very serene and quiet. Just the place to unwind, enjoy some solitude with nature and Some lovely meals. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.”

“The check-in was an indicator of how the stay would go. We were given room key and told it was straight down the corridor opposite the reception desk. It transpired that the room was almost at the furthest point one could be from the reception area and involved a number of changes of direction and finally a very steep and narrow staircase with literally no landing outside the room. It was well that we were both able bodied as it was a struggle to get our suitcases up the stairs. The……

Fergal & Jen were great hosts providing recommendations for around the area and even had activities (games/toys/outside play area) for kids onsite. The tea room even allowed for an easy meal to have without going out.”

“I absolutely love The Lake Hotel. My daughter lives in Skibbereen, Ireland and this was my first visit to Killarney. She highly recommended it and I am so glad she did. This will become a new tradition of ours to stay a few nights at the Lake Hotel for our little mom and daughter getaway! The staff was amazing. The breakfast was exceptional. “This was a great place to stay in Killarney--just off of the high street, so it was quiet and comfortable. It was surprisingly warm during our time there, so I was grateful for the fan they provided and the ability we had to fully open our windows. The included breakfast was the BEST we had on our entire two week trip. Truly wonderful all around.”
