“This guesthouse was not what we expected upon arrival. Barely any amenities provided. There is a charge for towel service daily, if not paid, it will be every 3rd day. This is very minimal considering how hot and humid the area is, and that many people come wanting to swim, therefore the need for more towels. Adding on, there was no mention in the listing that this was for a fee, as it stated this was by request. Although this is not part of the hotel stay itself, prepare to have a long journey……

“You need to contact hotel through WhatsApp for check in Or there is no response. The key for the room is in lockbox at top of the stairs. Once inside, the view is amazing. Worth every penny and all the stairs. There are no beach towels or bag. Everything is an additional charge- drip coffee, water. Expresso costs the same downstairs in town. For those with bad knees or have trouble with stairs, do not recommend. There are about 70 stairs. Overall, it was very pleasant and air conditioned.”

“The best location, right in the lower area of Riomaggiore so it’s very easy to access and get around with minimal stairs. Cutest little apartment with everything you would need to cook. There is a bit of a damp smell but only takes 5-10 minutes with the window open to air it out. This location is unbeatable and Riomaggiore is definitely the best town to stay in. Will 100% stay here again in the future! ”

“The room was super clean and the location is nice. The building is very old, tight stairs, no lift, but this is what you shall expect in Cinque Terre overall. The staff was not helpful, as they shared the instructions on whatsapp and didnt answer our calls upon check in. The parking at Riomaggiore is an issue, we had to wait 2 hours in the queu for an empty spot. If you are visiting with your car, consider staying in a calmer area.”

“This place is all about the view. Stunning. But you will have to walk up a billion stairs (or a long, steep ramp) to get there. True for most places in Manarola, but could be hard for those with mobility issues. It was a nice touch they provided a light breakfast for the first morning. The lack of a/c was rough, despite the sea air. It was very humid. Ceiling fans did help some. The water pressure in the shower was the best in Italy. It was a bit pricey, but again it’s the location. Only real……
