“The room was exceptionally spacious and full of character. Many hotels are a bit soulless but this is far from the case here. The staff were professional, friendly and always with a smile. I've seen a few reviews have commented on 'hidden charges' - breakfast isn't included but this is clear from the very start and there's no pressure to eat here in the morning. If you do, however, the food is excellent (we had dinner) and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

“Fantastic hotel really with loads of character set in lovely grounds running down to the river. Small personal homely feel not a bland corporate Staff were very welcoming and friendly. View from a hill Not all of Norfolk is flat - the landscape in North Norfolk was formed during the last ice age, leaving distinctive topographical features such as the steep northern slope and the more gentle southern face of the Cromer Ridge with its outlying spurs, hills and undulations.
