“We couldn't lock the front door all week! The key would not turn. We tried to contact the host but never heard from them. This made the holiday very stressful. The tv did it work either which was annoying. The water pressure in the ensuite shower was really poor making it unusable. The cottage could be so lovely but it feels uncared for and the owner is impossible to contact.”

“This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh). We ended our lovely evening in the bar area which had a great atmosphere and……

“The whole trip was beautiful, the farmhouse was lovely, the host Sandra was really kind and helpful very polite, I'd definitely stay there again, very picturesque, quiet and enjoyed a walk around the reservoir ”

“The staff were very helpful and kind. The property was part of a farm so there was an unpleasant smell of manure. The room was small and very hot. It would have been useful to have had a fan in the room.”

“Brilliant place to stay, warm welcome on arrival and friendly people. The room was cosy and very clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was served hot, unlike most places, and one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend staying here, look forward to going back there soon. 11/10”

“We had a wonderful stay at Hideaway Escapes. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. They went out of their way to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was comfortable and the whole experience felt relaxed and well-organized. “Despite a long walk and a few staircases to climb the room was lovely. Clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The cooked breakfast was very tasty, hot and well presented. Situated very close to the town. Would definitely return.”

“Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. ”
