“We stayed here as a stopover before going to Le Shuttle early the next day. Great location for a stopover, check-in was smooth and easy, rooms very clean and nicely decorated…hotel rooms had a refurb in Sep ‘25. Good pub food as well. Early checkout was also easy with a drop key box for those leaving before reception is staffed. All in all for the price point we would definitely work this stop off into our travel plans for future France trips”

“The room was really lovely 4*. It was quiet, overlooked lovely gardens. Great size and nicely laid out. But coming into hotel reception was dark and smelt of stale beer....we actually thought of leaving. Staff not very friendly or welcoming, apart from one person in breakfast room who was very helpful...Leo. Food and breakfast were all good. We didn't use swimming pool as it didn't look great and had read several poor reviews. But location was brilliant. Short walk into a lovely high street and……

“Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended.”

“The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful”
