“Adele is the perfect host, very welcoming and helpful in recommending local attractions & restaurants. It’s the second time we visited in the space of a year. This time we stayed in the Cornflower room, which was equally as beautiful as the Poppy room. Without doubt we’ll only stay there in the future, as our stays have been faultless”

“What a place. This is by far the best small hotel I have stayed in for a long time. On arrival the team member checking us, had the process complete in under 2 minutes. We had lunch in the bar, luxury furniture and great selection of alcohol if you wanted it. There was a limited small menu offering a good selection of meals all of which could be personalised. All served by the excellent waiting staff. For dinner there was a sumptuous selection of meals available again all of which……

“Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. ”
