“I stayed here with my son during a family visit. We loved the kitchen space and the roomy bathroom. The bed was clean and cozy. A couple of grocery stores were nearby. Commercial park is just up the street. We would stay here again. ”

“The Roost is a VERY cool update on a classic Detroit property. The rooms have character with a capital C, and aren't your standard hotel space. From the moment you enter the lobby, you realize this is something quite different. Once there, you're in the heart of Detroit, with easy walking to tons of restaurants and the downtown, including Woodward, concert venues, and Comerica Park. Excellent. We'll be back. ”

“This property was pretty great. I wish I would’ve known about the code ahead of time. We showed up a little late and I don’t know how I didn’t get the code but thankfully they had a security guard there and they helped me figure everything out. Overall, it was a great day. We stayed for my birthday and she didn’t even wanna leave the little apartment because she said it felt so comfy and was cute. We were able to easily walk to Little Caesars Arena for a concert… And the Detroit Tigers baseball……

“The property is located in a sketchy area of town. When entering/exiting we often found that there were people hanging around on the sidewalk or just waiting in cars near the building. Thankfully, we had no issues with any of them, but it was a bit concerning. The building itself doesn't have great curb appeal and is clearly quite old. So old that the elevator inside is the type that you have to manually pull the door to open/close it. The floors are old and wooden and very creaky. Once we……

“A great host, we actually arrived 30 minutes prior to check in, but he was still cleaning the property up for us. He apologized, and we couldn’t have been happier with the amazing views and the historic property itself. There are also a lot of neat memorabilia that the owner has throughout, and each of us enjoyed looking at all of it. Hopefully we were respectful guests.”

“My fiance and I came to Detroit in the summer because we are touring all of the baseball stadiums in the US. The stay was very spacious, communication was easy, and building/parking felt safe. Only issue was how hot the room was. Despite the (very old) AC that was in the unit, it was not enough to adequately cool the space - it was so hot it was hard to sleep.”

“Amazed by the entire stay. From the check in to the managment and accommodations. The loft was clean, quiet and well equipped. Perfect space for a couple retreat, small family, or even a photoshoot! I stayed the night and had a small dinner party. If there was any issue or question no one hessitated to help out.”

Took a Uber to Tiger game and spent both evenings hanging at house. Used porches in morning and evenings. Location is very convenient for exploring Detroit. Highly recommend this place!”

“The house is very well maintained, as is the exterior of the house. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us, and the house has some great character! Everything was as advertised. The host was exceptional and very accommodating. A family member was coincidentally staying at another property owned by the host that same weekend, and had similar excellent things to say. I will definitely reach out to the host again when traveling back to Detroit. Bonus, the property is right on the Detroit Golf……
