“Excellent value for this stunning property. The hotel was centrally located in downtown Rockland, across from the ferry terminal. Facilities were very clean, the king-bed room with a deck was extremely spacious. The included breakfast was amply varied , both hot & cold and healthy options. Marshall Point Lighthouse is located near the fishing village of Port Clyde, Maine. The Lighthouse property includes the wonderful light, connected via the long wooden runway to the property, a lovingly-restored Keeper’s House, as well as welcoming grounds and complimenting gardens. In The Keeper’s House, there is an extensive museum housing exhibits centered on the lighthouse as well as a historic look into the industries and life on our peninsula. As an interesting detail, in the movie “Forest Gump” Tom Hanks concluded his long run on the lighthouse runway. There is “limited” but adequate parking available with easy access to the grounds and Museum. #lighthouse #maine
