The lady at reception was most unwelcoming and not smiling at all. She just demanded my driving licence, and said "Take it out of your wallet" No please or thank you. She was very curt in demanding if the woman with me was staying in the same room, and what was her name.
Not a good first impression. The room was clean and everything worked well. Above all, it was quiet.
We checked out just before 7am and the man at reception greeted us with a cheerful "good morning", so not all staff are as surly as the receptionist on our arrival.

Great location, just a short walk north of the central train station and steps from the light rail (trams) that will take you to Circular Key. Still walkable to Circular Key and buses to anywhere you might want to go. Lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel is quiet and clean, rooms are small but have everything you need (including a coffee machine and separate kettle with a range of teas provided and refreshed during our two night stay). Bed was comfortable. I would happily stay here again.

I enjoyed our short stay at Song, and would highly recommend the breakfast. Convenient check in. The rooms are a tight fit but it was a comfortable sleep. Great central location. Honestly really cute!
