"Despite the building’s age and few quirky things like the lift we thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. Well maintained, comfortable beds and large room. Food was delicious , very good value and beautifully presented. Lovely to have ‘linens’ in the dining room."
"Lovely immaculate room and building"
"Decent location and clean room. No USB charging points in the room but staff were helpful to help charging"
"Hotel is a bit dated and looking tired. Having said that it was clean and plenty of food options including vegan. Staff very friendly and helpful."
"Excellent spot in the heart of the Peaks."
"Staff were very helpful and polite"
"Ok yes it does need a refresh, but the rooms are clean, the linen was clean, and it cheap. What else do you want for the very low price. If you want 5 star pay for it."
"Excellent location, Car parking available at £5 per night. All staff were very helpful and a well stocked bar."
"A fantastic stay! A lovely cottage with everything you need, set in a lovely location. The owners were very helpful and friendly. There is a fully equipped kitchen with nearly everything you need for self-catering, just missing a pizza cutter. A dishwasher and washer/dryer are also provided. The swimming pool is an amazing asset to the property, it is not attached to the cottage so you do need to go outside but only about 20 feet. There is a shower and toilet in the pool house. Overall, this is a lovely cottage for a relaxing time in the Peak District."
