“What an amazing hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was large, and very clean, but the real star of the show is the stunning castle itself. There are so many areas to explore. Sitting rooms, the chapel, a pool table room, and the outside pool area is from a fairytale. It’s like going back in time. We felt like royalty. 100% recommended.”

“This place looked amazing in the photos, but when you get there, it’s honestly nothing like the pictures. There was a strong mold smell, especially in the bathroom not only in my room, but also in my friend’s room. The beds were comfortable to sleep in, and the staff was very kind and helpful, but my main complaint is definitely the smell in both the room and washroom. The floors also didn’t seem very clean; our socks turned completely black from walking around. Unfortunately, I had to leave……

“Overall, the hotel was lovely. The room was clean and had everything we needed, although if you need an iron you need to request the whole laundry service. The staff were so helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It is in a quiet area near the river but hard to walk anywhere from it. Only a short drive to Alcacer do Sal. “Fortunately our stay was just as a stopover from faro to Lisbon. I wouldn't have wanted to stay much longer. Outside it's badly maintained, it definitely looks better in the picture. The AC was pretty poor.”

“Das Personal war super nett, aufmerksam und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Leider war die Unterkunft sehr schwer zu finden. Insgesamt stimmt für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Für rund 500 € pro Nacht hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Das Zimmer war sehr klein und es gab unglaublich viele Mücken, sodass wir am Ende mit unzähligen Stichen nach Hause gefahren sind. Das Konzept der Unterkunft ist aus unserer Sicht eher auf Ruhe und Entspannung ausgelegt und wirkt fast wie ein……

“Charming building. Loved the bath tub and real bars of soap instead of that goop from plastic containers. Overlooks little park. Easy to park in front of but one way street makes it hard to get out.Very nice staff.”

“Very modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They carried our luggage up the stairs (no elevator). Carolina gave us many good tips about the surroundings and restaurants. Room was extra clean. We were there in summer so AC was very welcome. We each had one suitcase and a backpack which made storage a challenge in the small room. Provided breakfast was freshly prepared and extras could be purchased.”

Basically only good for a quick overnight. We could hear all of the other rooms around us, people walking, babies crying etc. We would only recommend this place for a cheap place to sleep, nothing more.”
