“Lynda's accomodation is designed for both form and function. There's enough seating area outside for every type of weather. When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. We had some trouble finding the accomodation, so make sure you double check the address beforehand, but Lynda was a dear guiding us there and was always available for questions during the stay. “Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. ”

“We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. I’m baffled at the positive reviews, it’s very basic and not good value - we chose to drive 2.5 hours home rather than……

“The front of house staff and waiting staff were great however, the kitchen really let down the stay. Fish and chips - fish soggy not crispy, pooling with oil and the crushed Parmesan potatoes like something you would concrete bricks together with and the local trout was so overcooked it was hard to chew it.
